Baltic Metallurgical Company was founded on October 1, 1998, with the goal of providing 100% of the region's construction and mechanical engineering industries with rolled metal products and metal services.

One of the company's significant milestones was the opening of the region's first BMK Metal Hypermarket in Kaliningrad in 2004 on Dzerzhinsky Street, offering a wide range of rolled metal products from leading Russian, Ukrainian, and European manufacturers, as well as metalworking services.
